Exclusive apartment design in a classic style

The classics remain in fashion at any time during the development of mankind, boldly competing with any fashion trends. Confident people who have a sense of taste, and there are no prejudices, boldly turn to this direction, knowing that it will never fail.

Primary requirements

In the classical style of the interior, there are several unbreakable rules. Firstly, the rooms should be clearly separated from each other. The only possible deviation from this rule is a kitchen-studio, but it should be at least symbolically separated from the living room. Secondly, the whole design should be thought out to the smallest detail and organized symmetrically and proportionately. There is no place for creative incompleteness or designer mess - everything should be clear and tidy. Also, attention should be paid to the apartment itself, because the classic does not tolerate any ceilings and small spaces. Remember that earlier this style was used in the construction of palaces.

Color spectrum

Classic is a moody style, despite all its simplicity and elegance. This design does not tolerate flashy colors and shades, everything in its concept should be measured and restrained. Black and white colors are the best way to create the right atmosphere - the foundation of any design palette. In addition, brown, beige and golden (in small quantities) will look good. The limited color scheme often becomes a problem for inexperienced designers, but real masters can create masterpieces, wielding only three or four colors. Many fashion designers also allow you to add blue, green and purple colors to the classic palette, but only for furniture and other interior items.
Living room - the heart of the house

If you still decide to work with this unique style, the first thing you should start with is the living room. For the designer, this room always becomes the most difficult to implement all his ideas, because it should be as comfortable, functional and presentable as possible. Fortunately, the classic allows you to complete all these tasks.

The furniture in the classic interior is always worked out to the smallest detail, competing even with the notorious Baroque. In the decoration of interior items, there should not be excessive splendor, but all sharp corners, such as, for example, the legs of chairs, are usually rounded and decorated with carvings. The main material of the classics is a tree, and in this field you can experiment as much as you like. Karelian birch, walnut, and cherry are especially popular among classic designers.

Classic in the kitchen

Make sure that the kitchen remains the brightest room in the entire interior, and not be piled with unnecessary details. Classics focuses on the living and sleeping areas, bypassing the place of cooking a little with their attention, but this only gives the designer more space for creativity. In this room it is better to look at light woods, but to avoid glossy, shiny surfaces, firstly, because of their impracticality, and secondly, because of the flashy "modern" look.

Add a bit of intimacy

In the bedroom, the designer should pay special attention to lighting. The whole classic interior in general implies good illumination of rooms and a large amount of sunlight, and a place to sleep will not be an exception. All that unspoken desire for luxury can be realized in lamps - let it be an expensive chandelier with crystal pendants, or neat lamps with porcelain shades in the form of traditional lampshades. In the classics, it is worth concentrating on pendant and table lamps, but avoid floor lamps.

The bedroom is the area where classics allow the addition of other, brighter colors. For example, the bedspread may not be white, but a muted blue, but it must certainly resonate with other interior items, such as small pillows for decor or the color of lamp shades. Also a good design decision will be the combination of the color of the walls and the decoration of the bed. This method helps to isolate the sleeping area without tearing it out of the general idea, but for this case the unifying color must be chosen as carefully as possible.

Pleasant trifles

What about the decor? It would seem that a classic that is distinguished by its severity, and here should limit the designers, but this is a general misconception. It is in the decor that the main forces and money are invested, it is he who gives the necessary color accents and helps to cope with the sometimes excessive strictness of classicism.

Paintings, sculptures, porcelain, mirrors, stained-glass windows that can replace glass surfaces in furniture, decorative weapons and much more - the classic is just a godsend for those who love luxury but cannot stand the catchy Baroque style.

Particular attention should be paid to all glass surfaces in the house. The classic loves overflows of light in the edges of graceful vases and dances of sunny bunnies on glass figurines; this gives the design a special charm. Try searching in online stores or in specialty stores for glass decor and you will be amazed at its variety and grace.

Separately, book lovers should take a look at the classics, because this interior simply revels in every printed letter. You will be surprised how good your paper friends will look on the open shelf in the living room or bedroom, and good lighting will help you save your eyesight and not harm the interior with unnecessary light sources.

When creating a classic image, it is better to avoid the new-fangled trends of technology. Of course, in the modern world it is difficult to do without the Internet and television, but this is what experienced designers have foreseen. The router conveniently hides in small closed shelves, it is better to install music centers in cabinets with sliding doors, so as not to complicate your access to this miracle of technology, and a TV in a special niche in a cabinet decorated for a classic will not be so striking.

Undoubtedly, modern designers often use classic stylization, rather than direct inheritance, but this can not be called a bad innovation. Expensive but not practical wood floors are replaced with tiles or laminate, heavy curtains turn into blinds, and crystal chandeliers fade into the background in front of the ultra-modern built-in illumination, but maybe this is for the better?
