- I cut the unpeeled orange into cubes and add to the quince. I cook, stirring occasionally, until the syrup becomes amber. Approximate time is 40 minutes.

Ingredients:- quince - 1.5 kg.
- water - 750 ml.
- granulated sugar - 800 g.
- Thoroughly wash the fruit, cut into 4 parts. I take off the skin, remove the seed chamber, cut into small segments. After processing, approximately 900 grams of pulp is obtained.
- Pour slices with clean water, bring to a boil, boil for 20 minutes, until softened.
- I recline in a colander and let it cool.
- I use broth for preparation of syrup. I take 800 grams of sugar for 3 cups of liquid. If the broth is less, add water.
- I cook over low heat until the sugar dissolves. It takes about 10 minutes.
- Add quince to the boiling syrup, let it boil, boil for 5 minutes. After the time, I remove the pan from the stove.
- I leave the fruit in syrup for about 4 hours. During this time, they are well saturated. Then I cook for about 5 minutes and again insist 4 hours.
- When I boil a second time, add about 400 grams of sugar. On low heat I bring to readiness. It takes about half an hour.
What to do with ready-made jam? If I intend to use it in the near future, let it cool, pour it into a jar, clog it with a lid and put it in the refrigerator. If I do it for the winter, pour it hot into a jar, close it with a seaming machine, put it upside down, cover it with a blanket and leave it for three days.
